double Thursday - Bklyn library w/Queen Esther & Barbes w/Pre War Ponies

Greetings!  Just a quick note to let you know I’m outta my gourd.

Other than that, I’m also playing a double tomorrow.

Although, those two statements above are not necessarily related.

…they may be on each other’s holiday card list though…

Tomorrow! 7pm! I’ll be playing trombone and ukulele with vocalist Queen Esther as we take a little journey through some of the lesser known/played songs from the Billie Holiday songbook.  Queen will be joined by pianist Jeremy Bacon, bassist Ben Rubin, saxophonist Patience Higgins, drum-ologist Warren Smith, and yours truly.  This is a free concert at the Brooklyn Library (at Grand Army Plaza) and is open to the public.

Then, at 10pm, I’ll be hiking my sorry arse… wait… attitude adjustment needed.

Then, at 10pm I’ll make a hop, skip, and a jump over to Park Slope , where I’ll be joining Daria Grace and The Prewar Ponies (Daria vocals/uke -Jared Engel bass - Willie Martinez drums - and me on trombone/ukulele) at Barbes.  We are there every month.  It’s great.  I freakin’ love that joint.

So, there you have it.  There it is.   You'll find the full details by clicking here or by selecting "Gig Schedule" in the menu to the right.

I hope yer having a splendid week.  I do!!
