LIC Arts Open this week + more

Greetings.  Well, I survived my deadline.  Incredible!  Now let's see if I survive this week of gigs...

Wednesday (tomorrow) at The Local in LIC, I'll be playing Latin jazz with The Willie Martinez La Familia Sextet at the opening party for the 2015 LIC Arts Open festival.  Local councilman Jimmy Van Bramer will speak in between our two sets.

Thursday I'll be playing trombone, uke, and glockenspiel (look out) with The Pre-War Ponies for our monthly residency at Barbès.

Friday I'll be playing an off the cuff hour of "edgy old school ukulele" (edgy = "Aba Daba Honeymoon?") at the very cool hang at Ten10 Studios. Part of LIC Arts Open.

Saturday I'll be doing a very special concert indeed - a music and lights show with guitarist Pat Irwin and neon artist Kenny Greenberg.  The music will be mellow and incorporate some vintage electronics.  It'll be a very cool, off the beaten path (figuratively and somewhat literally) at the Edison Price Lighting Gallery.  Part of LIC Arts Open.

Sunday I'll be in Greenpoint playing at the restaurant La Fanfare with the Pre War Ponies.
