Barbes Thurs - Rockwood Sunday, CD: Tennessee Williams: Words and Music

Greetings.  Things are afoot!   Er, that's rather surreal I suppose...

Tomorrow, I'll be playing trombone and ukulele with Daria Grace and the Pre War Ponies for our monthly residency at Barbes in Park Slope.   Tom Beckham will be joining us on vibes.

Sunday I'll be playing trombone, joining Richard Julian and his merry band of awesomeness, being Dan Rieser on drums and Tim Luntzel on bass) for an evening of Richard's fine music.

A recording is available of the show, "Tennessee Williams Songbook," that I performed with the incredible performer Alison Fraser and musical director Allison Leyton-Brown.   The show, conceived by director David Kaplan, features songs referenced in Tennessee Williams' plays, put together with dramatic readings of Williams' writing.  The recording, featuring a New Orleans based band (Jason Mingledorff, Bobby Campo, John Eubanks, James Singleton, and Wayne Maureau) sounds great.  It's a culmination of a lot of hard work, and I'm proud to have been a part of it.

You can find "Tennessee Williams: Words and Music" here:

Take care,
